| What can I say, but thank-you again to Deb and Bob for their continued outstanding hospitality this past spring in accommodating our annual fishing trip. Their efforts certainly made for the special nature of this years trip, that being the 60th Anniversary of our little fishing club, a most memorable experience for the 27 members and guests that made the trip to celebrate this special event in June of this year. | I brought my 11 year old daughter and her friend up to Horizon’s North Fishing Resort for our summer vacation. We found a peaceful lake complete with the songs of loons, lots of beautiful trees and a cozy cottage waiting for us. Our home away from home was “The BoatHouse”. It is extra special because it has its own private dock and waterfront porch where I enjoyed my morning coffee. Our nightly bonfires were a lot of fun complete with marshmallows and hot dogs! The girls had a lot of fun fishing and have their “trophy photos” to show off their catch! North Bay is just a short visit away for all the necessities like orthodontic services which we did end up needing. Everyone including our pet Sheltie really enjoyed the fresh, clean air and quiet surroundings – we look forward to our next visit! Suzanne Cascannette, Ottawa, Ontario - June 2008 |
| Just wanted to thank you for the comfortable cabin, good company and great fishing we had this summer. Our only complaint was your beds are too comfortable (so we never did get up for that early morning fishing), but hey, lots of rest and relaxation is good for the soul! See ya next year! | We really enjoyed our time at the Horizons Lodge. First of all we were amazed by the quiet and pristine lake! It seemed like we had the whole thing to ourselves. There are very few places in the world today where you can still get this feeling. The log cabins are a real reflection of bygone times but the new modern interiors were greatly appreciated at the end of the day. We can't wait to return. Thanks! | On behalf of our family, Ann and Bob Ormsby and Jason, Julie, James and Joel Modlik, I can't tell you what a wonderful time we had at Horizons North. As you know, Bob has been coming to the camp since he was 2, and to be able to bring our grandsons back to the same beautiful place leaves us speechless. You have done wonders with the cabins and campgrounds, but have still kept its charming and relaxing atmosphere which is most important. The fish were biting, the sun was shining, and everyone was so friendly as usual. We had the time of our lives. James, our 6 year old grandson, lost his first front tooth in the cabin on Wednesday and caught and ate his first bass all in the same day. How memorable is that!. Both boys had so much fun playing on the beach and catching frogs and tadpoles and sending them back in the water. Our time at Horizons North could not have been more perfect. Thank you for being so welcoming and for being so gracious to give us "the rock". The first thing we did when we arrived home was to place the O-Pee-Chee Lake Lodge Rock near our driveway entrance so it is always there for us to see when we come home. We are so appreciative. Thank you again for a wonderful time. See you next year if not before!! Ann and Bob Ormsby, July 2008 |
| HEY Deb & Bob! We still can't get over how much of a great time we had! We don’t want to go back to work, we just want to come back up and not tell anyone! We're trying to figure out when to go back up to go duck hunting because we loved it so much. I showed everyone at the party we went to last night all the pictures and they couldn’t believe the amount and the size of fish we caught so I think we got some people interested. Anyways here are some pictures and thanks for the great week we loved it! Marcie & Scott Kluke, August 2009 |
| Can't thank you guys enough for the great vacation Paddy and I enjoyed! Lots of R&R mixed with some great fishing - doesn't get any better than that! Thanks and see you next year!! Dan Phillips Ottawa, Ontario - September 2009 |
| Thanks again for the wonderful time and the girls loved it and cannot wait for next year at the same place and same time we will make sure we bring the skis! Melanie & Mark Stroud, July 2010 (stayed in #7, Sam's Place) |
